Our Objective
The Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) serves the mission to support ex-servicemen who have sustained spinal cord injuries, causing Paraplegia or Quadriplegia during their service to the nation. These injuries often result in long-term conditions that require continuous care and rehabilitation.
Paraplegia refers to paralysis of both lower limbs, often accompanied by loss of bladder and bowel control.
Quadriplegia is a more severe condition, affecting all four limbs along with bladder and bowel function.
At PRC, our guiding aim is to restore confidence and independence in our residents by focusing on ability over disability.

Provide occupational therapy, vocational and skill training in the workshop, and opportunities for job placement
Provide continuous care for minor ailments, pressure sores, urinary tract infections, and bowel incontinence for which residents are prone/pre-disposed
Provide physiotherapy/hydrotherapy facilities to sustain and improve the residual muscle power
Provide an all-encompassing shelter for medical care and lifelong rehabilitation, including physical, psychological, and financial rehabilitation
We Aim To
Provide opportunities for residents to adopt, train, and excel in sports to participate in national and international events
Ensure miscellaneous welfare like settlement of pension accounts and Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Services (ECHS), education of children, and other applicable assistance from the Defence Ministry and State/Central Governments
