Medical Care
At PRC, comprehensive medical care is a core component of rehabilitation. Paraplegic and quadriplegic individuals often face complications such as urinary tract infections and digestive issues due to loss of bladder and bowel control. These challenges require ongoing medical attention, especially in cases involving long-term catheter use.
Nursing assistants play a vital role in monitoring the residents’ general health, tracking vitals daily and reporting any irregularities to the Medical Director. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are ensured, and all essential medications are provided by PRC. In more serious cases, residents are admitted to the Military Hospital for specialized care. Quadriplegic residents also receive additional support from dedicated housekeepers and attendants to assist with daily needs, ensuring comfort and dignity throughout their recovery.
